by our reception staff. Home visits may be arranged for housebound patients.
Travel
Advice and Information
The practice nurse is available
to give advice, recommendations for healthy travel and immunisations. Please make
an appointment at least eight weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate
cover. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and prescriptions for malaria
tablets which are not covered by the NHS. Information is available from the nurse
or reception. It may not always be possible to provide appointments for last minute travellers!
Self Treatment Information
The practice has a comprehensive booklet on sel-treatment of common illnesses and accidents. If you require a copy please ask at reception.
Young People
The
practice has a policy to encourage health awareness and health care in young people.
An information booklet specifically for young people will be sent to patients
on their 14th birthday. There is also an information board in the entrance lobby
with leaflets appropriate for young people.
Visitors
From Abroad
Visitors from abroad may be seen by appointment and may be charged a private consultation fee (dependent on country of origin and nature of treatment). An additional charge will be made for private prescriptions.
Car Parking
Patients
are reminded that forecourt parking is reserved for the doctors. Please do not
park in the car park or block the access as this may delay a doctor in making
an emergency call. We would ask patients to be mindful of our neighbours’
access and point out that parking over a driveway is an offence.
